Invidious is the open-source front end that fetches YouTube videos so Google never sees you watching: public instances exist for immediate use, or host your own for the full private experience. No ads, no login, no recommendation engine shaping your evening.
Instances break when Google changes internals and recover when volunteers catch up, so availability swings. Subscribe to channels you like elsewhere and treat this as the viewing layer.
