ONLYOFFICE offers the closest-to-Microsoft formatting among open-source suites, with online collaboration you can self-host in your own Nextcloud or on your own server. Desktop and mobile apps are free as well.
The full-featured server edition sits behind commercial licensing tiers, and the document editor is heavier than LibreOffice on old machines. Compatibility first, ideology second.
