Tresorit is end-to-end encrypted storage aimed at offices. It started in Hungary and is based in Switzerland. Swiss Post has owned it since 2021. Sharing, remote wipe, and admin controls are the product. The company publishes security writeups and has a history of outside tests. The design claim is that Tresorit cannot read the files.
It costs more than a consumer cloud, and the free tier is a demo. Swiss Post as owner is a state-owned parent, which some people like and some people do not. End-to-end encryption does not survive a user who turns on an unencrypted export or who shares a folder with the whole company by habit. Read who is an admin before you call it a personal vault.
Use it for client documents when you can put it on an invoice. tresorit.com
Tresorit’s admin console is the risk inside a company. An admin who can add themselves to every share has more power than the marketing word zero-knowledge suggests for a personal vault. For a solo professional, use a personal account, not a team seat you do not understand. Price it against the documents, not against Google’s free 15 gigabytes. Remote wipe needs the device to come online. It does not help a laptop that never connects again.
