Pi-hole is a network-level DNS filter: a small self-hosted box that answers your network’s domain lookups and drops the ones that appear on its blocklists, so ads and trackers served from those domains disappear on every device, including TVs and consoles. Free, open source, with a dashboard that shows what was asked and what was refused.
Important to understand: it blocks exactly what its lists contain, and nothing else. Anything not on a list stays wide open, and ads served from the same domain as the content you want cannot be filtered this way. Curate your blocklists and audit the dashboard regularly, because “installed” is not the same as “covering everything”.
