LibreWolf is a Firefox build with Mozilla’s data reporting locked off and uBlock Origin included. Tracking protection starts on the strict setting. Resist Fingerprinting is on, so the browser reports a blander set of facts about your screen, timezone, and hardware. That is the point of the project, and it is also why some banks, video sites, and captchas misbehave until you loosen one setting for that site.
Your IP address is still yours. LibreWolf does not route you through Tor, and it does not stop you from logging into an account that already knows your name. Install it from the project, not from a repackaged download on a forum. Updates have to come from LibreWolf’s own channel, because this is not Mozilla’s update server wearing a different icon.
Use it on a desktop when you want Firefox’s engine without Mozilla’s telemetry defaults. Expect a broken site now and then, and fix that site, not the whole setup. librewolf.net
